The Associate of Applied Science in Science Technology (AAS) degree is a rigorous industry-linked program that prepares students for careers as science technicians – specialists in the application of science in the science technology industry. Students gain scientific knowledge, professional skills, and specialized training, including internships that prepare them for entry into the workforce. This program of study is not designed for transfer; however, individual courses may transfer to other institutions. Students who plan to transfer to another institution should discuss their plans with a BRCC advisor and with an advisor at the receiving institution to assure that credits earned at BRCC will transfer. Students may choose the science technology area of concentration that meets their current or future employment goals.
This Program of Study is not intended for college transfer.
To receive this degree, students must:
- have a cumulative GPA of 2.00 or better in all credits to be used towards the degree;
- earn a “C” or better in Area of Concentration courses, in ENGL 101, in CSCI 192, and in courses that are prerequisites for other courses;
