Hours of Operation (from January 5 through May 15)

  • Monday - 8:00 am - 7:00 pm
  • Tuesday - 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
  • Wednesday - 8:00 am - 7:00 pm
  • Thursday - 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
  • Friday - 9:00 am - 5:00 pm
  • Select Saturdays - 8:00 am - 12:00 pm (see Scheduler for open Saturdays)

LOCATION

The Testing Center at the Mid City campus is located in Room 160 of the Magnolia Building.  Check in at the front desk as you enter for testing instructions.

 


SCHEDULING

Time permitted for proctored tests is determined by the instructor. Students taking the Full COMPASS Test must schedule an appointment for 120 minutes.  Students are strongly encouraged to schedule appointments for all testing (including COMPASS) at least 24 hours ahead of time.  Walk-ins are accepted if space is available.

TESTING FEES

  • COMPASS Test for BRCC Students - $20.00 for Full Test*, $7.50 for 1 part.
  • COMPASS Test for Non-BRCC Students - $20.00
  • Non-BRCC distance education, CLEP, Work Keys, etc. - $25.00

*Your initial COMPASS test fee is included in your $10.00 application fee (current BRCC students only).  Be sure to bring a copy of your receipt for your application fee.

WHEN YOU ARRIVE

Prior to check in, you must have:

 

1.   Proof of Payment* (physical receipt from Bursar's Office or electronic receipt from online)

2.   Proof of Identity (valid driver's license, student ID, passport, military ID, or other approved form of picture ID)

 

* Does not apply to BRCC Students taking instructors' tests

 

INSTRUCTORS

BRCC faculty who wish to have their students take a make-up test should have their students schedule an appointment using the online scheduler. You will need to deliver the assessment instrument (test, etc.) to a Testing Center staff member with completion instructions. The Testing Center is not to be used to have entire classes of students take tests. You should contact the Registrar for an appropriate room if you are looking to administer computer testing.
