Career Center offers career exploration, one-on-one career counseling, career assessments, professional development workshops, job placement assistance, career fairs, and online resources to assist you with your career needs.

We can help discover your career and personal interests: develop our career and professional skills; provide opportunities for you to gain access to a broad range of employers; employment information, and entrepreneurial opportunities; and to assist you in making decisions as you transition to four-year or professional programs

Student Learning Outcomes
Students will be able to:

  •  Learn techniques on writing resumes and cover letters;
  • Identify and explore potential career options
  • Locate employment opportunities through job postings and by participating in career fairs;
  • Learn how to prepare for an interview

 Career Coach
The Career Center provides career assessment for students that are undecided on a career path via Career Coach. Students are able to take an interest inventory assessment that will allow them to explore career paths based on personal interests. Our staff is available to review your results with you and provide career exploration assistance.

Job Board and Resume Builder
College Central Network
Students and Alumni register with College Central Network to:

  • Search for jobs posted exclusively to Baton Rouge Community CollegeBuild a résumé with Résumé Builder, or upload a résumé file to Resume Central® and Résumés are reviewed by Career Center staff
  • Receive emails about programs, services and job-related topics
  • Gain access to announcements, upcoming events, career advice documents, career advice videos, podcasts, and career articles from over 125 authors
