Baton Rouge Community College (BRCC) has partnered with ChargerHelp! to invite interested individuals to participate in the Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment (EVSE) Operations and Maintenance Training course at BRCC. The no-cost training will be held Monday, May 20, through Friday, June 7, at the BRCC Automotive Training Center, 2115 N. Lobdell Blvd. in Baton Rouge. The three-week, in-person training course will take place Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Trainees will have a state-of-the-art training curriculum to learn standard electrical practices to help become repair technicians for electric vehicle (EV) supply technology such as fundamentals of electrical energy, preventative maintenance, charging stations, batteries, and more which could lead to becoming a nationally certified EVSE technician.

EV training program is a wonderful opportunity for individuals seeking a career change that could place them in a better position to meet future demands."

The EVSE training course aligns with the Society of Automobile Engineers (SAE) International standards and is a global association of more than 128,000 engineers and related technical experts in the aerospace, automotive, and commercial vehicle industries. Their core competencies are life-long learning and voluntary consensus standards development.
