Student Technology Committee Overview
The Student Technology Committee is responsible for prioritizing and recommending projects for the disbursement of the Student Technology Fee. The Student Technology Fee is a tuition surcharge as part of BRCC's GPR/Fee budget. This fee aims to provide students with adequate technology to enhance their academic experience, improve access to technology, and support technology training opportunities.
Primary Responsibilities
- Provide feedback on current needs and recommend opportunities for future services.
- Advise on maintaining communication with students about needs, barriers, and opportunities.
- Evaluate proposed service expansions for student information technology, considering costs, and provide appropriate recommendations.
Meeting Schedule
The Student Technology Committee meets twice during the fall and spring semesters, and once during the summer semester.
