Summer Camps Refunds & Cancellations

Refunds are based on the date we receive your cancellation request, relative to the camp start date. Please review the timeline below before purchasing.

Refund Timeline

The cancellation window is measured from the camp start date.

  • Full refund: cancel 28+ days (4 weeks) before the camp start date.
  • 50% refund: cancel 14–27 days before the camp start date.
  • No refund: cancel less than 14 days before the camp start date.

No-shows / missed days

No refunds will be issued for students who do not attend, arrive late, leave early, or miss one or more days.

Details

  • Multi-camp purchases: You may cancel one camp (subject to the timeline above) and remain enrolled in other paid camps.
  • BRCC cancellations: If BRCC cancels a camp, a full refund will be issued.
  • Transfers: Switching to another session/camp is allowed when the price is the same (expected to be the case).
  • Fees: No administrative or processing fees.

Refund & Cancellation FAQ

These guidelines are intended to keep camps viable for all students while providing families a clear and consistent refund timeline.

1) How do I cancel a camp?
Submit a cancellation request as directed on the registration site (or contact the Summer Camps office). The date/time your request is received determines refund eligibility.
2) How are refunds calculated?
Refunds are based on how many days remain before the camp start date when your cancellation request is received: 28+ days = full refund; 14–27 days = 50% refund; 0–13 days = no refund.
3) What if my student can’t attend or we change our mind?
A refund may be issued if your cancellation request falls within the eligible windows listed in the refund timeline.
4) Is there a “no refund” window?
Yes. The no-refund window begins 14 days before the camp start date.
5) Are there refunds for no-shows or missed days?
No. No refunds are issued for no-shows, late arrivals, early departures, or missed days.
6) What if I purchased multiple camps?
You may cancel one camp (subject to the refund rules) and remain enrolled in other camps you purchased.
7) What happens if BRCC cancels a camp?
If BRCC cancels a camp, a full refund will be issued.
8) Can I switch to another camp or session instead of canceling?
Yes—switching is allowed when the price is the same (which is expected to be the case). Approved switches will be processed as a transfer rather than a refund.
9) Are there administrative or processing fees?
No. We do not charge administrative or processing fees for cancellations.
10) Can exceptions be made for emergencies or medical issues?
Exceptions may be considered for documented emergencies and require approval from Caron Smith, Executive Director of Academic Partnerships and Strategic Initiatives.
