To Start Benefits at BRCC:
Prospective students are directed to receive approval from the student's ESO, military counselor or Service prior to enrollment.
1. Complete the online Admission Application.
*Official copies of transcripts from each college or university, including the Military must be submitted for evaluation to the Office of the Registrar.
2. Apply for VA Education Benefits.
3. Complete the Certification Process.
- Submit the Enrollment Certification Request for Veterans Benefits Form after scheduling classes. *An Enrollment Certification Request Form must be submitted each semester you intend to use your benefits. Renewal is not automatic. The suggested deadline for timely payment of benefits is 4 weeks before the start of each semester.
- The Veterans Affairs Office will report your enrollment to the VA based on the eligible
scheduled courses. Courses that are not eligible include:
- Courses not required for your degree,
- Courses not approved by your advisor, and
- Courses for which you have already received credit.
- VA sends email notifications when the School Certifying Official submits your enrollment certification.
