Career and Technical Certificate
The Career and Technical Certificate (CTC) in Film and New Media Production covers all phases of the production cycle, including pre-production, production, and post-production. Courses in the CTC cover editing and visual effects/motion graphics using Adobe Premiere and Adobe AfterEffects. Upon completion of the CTC in Film and New Media Production, students will be eligible to test for the Adobe Certified Associate – Video Communication using Adobe Premiere Pro or Adobe Certified Associate – Visual Effects and Motion Graphics using AfterEffects.
Program Requirements
- Complete FILM 1023: Film and New Media Production I with a grade of C or better.
- Complete FILM 2033: Film and New Media Production II with a grade of C or better.
- Complete FILM 2043: Post Production Editing and VFX with a grade of C or better.
Program Outcomes
- Develop digital video projects using structural elements such as tracks, timelines, and layers.
- Create visual elements and effects as part of a digital video project.
- Publish and export projects using media encoders.
