Federal Work-Study is a program that helps students gain experience through a part-time job and earn money to support their education. Students with financial need who are enrolled at least half time are eligible for a Work-Study position.

Find a Job & InterviewReview the available job openings below. Contact the hiring supervisor for any department you are interested in to schedule an interview.

Complete the Work-Study PacketBring the completed packet with you to the interview. The hiring supervisor must complete and sign Section C of the Employment Authorization Form.

Submit Your PaperworkSubmit the fully completed packet to the Office of Financial Aid for processing and to initiate your background check. HR will email you the final steps including the new hire packet.
Part-time employment through FWS offers:

Pay Rate: Federal student workers are paid $12.00 per hour unless otherwise indicated. Community Service positions are paid $18.00 per hour. You are paid bi-weekly for hours worked.
Earnings Limit: You can work until your cumulative earnings equal your FWS award amount or until the end of the semester. You and your supervisor are responsible for monitoring your earnings.
- Have a current year Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) on file at studentaid.gov.
- Be enrolled in at least six (6) credit hours.
- Demonstrate financial need as determined by your FAFSA and your financial aid package.
- Complete all financial aid requirements.
- Meet Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) requirements.
- Successfully pass a background check.

Your FWS award cannot be used to pay registration fees.

Job Description:
Purpose: Support the operations of the Testing Center to administer exams for test takers.

TRIO / Upward Bound Program
Job Description:
Assist in planning events, contact students and parents, perform office duties, and work the front desk. Must be able to work a minimum of 15 hours/week and some Saturdays.
