BRCC introduces Virtual Student Center to remotely support students
The Student Affairs team at Baton Rouge Community College has created a Virtual Student Center that provides students remote access to information for all Student Affairs departments. The center allows students to communicate directly with Student Affairs staff through the discussion board, schedule virtual advising and counseling appointments, engage in student leadership activities, and explore career options. Current BRCC students will be able to access the Virtual Student Center through their Canvas accounts by selecting the course titled, Virtual Student Center.

COVID-19 Update to Students - Transition to Online Classes
The communication announces the cancellation of all credit and non-credit classes will be cancelled beginning at 5 p.m. March 13- 21 to allow faculty to continue preparing courses for conversion to distance education/online learning. Spring Break will be moved up to the following week, March 23 - 29. Beginning Monday, March 30, through the rest of the Spring semester, courses that can be delivered in an online format, will be offered online. Classes that require hands-on-training and clinical experiences will resume under the practice of social distancing and modified hours. Additionally, effective immediately, the following have been cancelled until further notice: all in-state and out-of-state travel where large groups and crowds convene, all regular season competition for BRCC baseball and softball teams (until April 3), and all large-scale events (25 or more people) at the college.
