Guidelines for Employees

Communication sent from Chancellor's Office to BRCC Faculty and Staff provided CDC recommendations, cleaning methods to be followed by Facilities Services, and latest information for Louisiana. Employees are advised to stay home if experiencing any COVID-19 related symptoms, contact human resources as well as immediate supervisor for further directives. Employees who exhibit COVID-19 symptoms cannot return to work without medical clearance. Accommodations will be made for individuals who may be temporarily unable to attend work due to restrictions placed on them related to possible exposure to the virus that causes COVID-19.

Guidelines for Students Re. COVID-19

Communication sent from Chancellor's Office to BRCC Students provided CDC recommendations, cleaning methods to be followed by Facilities Services, and latest information for Louisiana. Students are advised to stay home if experiencing any COVID-19 related symptoms and follow the necessary procedures before returning to campus. Any student that is absent and has exhibited the symptoms above must provide medical clearance to the Dean of Students (dos@mybrcc.edu) to return to campus. Students may not return to any BRCC location until medical clearance is submitted and confirmed by the Nursing and Allied Health (NAH) division.

Letter from Chancellor re: COVID-19

Communication sent from Chancellor’s Office to BRCC Faculty and Staff advising of the measures the state of Louisiana is taking to prevent the spread of illness and steps individuals can take to prevent the spread of the COVID-19. The communication also lists details about Gov. John Bel Edwards’ Unified Command Group meeting about coronavirus to ensure state agencies are coordinating and communicating effectively across all departments about this illness. Additionally, the COVID-19 Task Force has been created to lead Louisiana’s planning for different scenarios relating to the spread of coronavirus, and to offer guidance to state agencies, local governments, businesses and organizations. BRCC officials are reviewing and updating the college’s Continuity of Operations Plans (COOP) that were developed statewide in 2012 under GOHSEP’s direction to take coronavirus into account.
