June Industry-Based Certification (IBC) Program
Audience: Rising 12th graders earning IBCs
- Dates: June 9 – July 3
- Schedule:
- Mon & Wed: 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM (7.5 hrs)
- Tue & Thu: 12:30 PM – 4:30 PM (4 hrs)
- Total Instruction: 23 hrs/week (92 hrs total)
We’re hiring instructors in these certification areas:
- Adobe Certified Professional (Photoshop, Illustrator)
- CIW Site Development & Network Technology Associate
- EKG Technician
- NCCER Core: Basic Construction Skills
- NRF Customer Service & Sales (7 hrs/week)
- CIW Internet Business Associate
Qualifications:
- Hold one of the above certifications or equivalent expertise
- Experience teaching high-school–aged students
- Availability for full program dates & times
- Teaching/training experience preferred
July Career Labs @ BRCC
Audience: Rising 6th–8th graders
- Dates: July 7 – July 31
- Schedule: Mon–Thu, 7:45 AM – 4:15 PM (8 hrs/day)
- Total Instruction: 32 hrs/week (128 hrs total)
Career Lab Themes:
- Pixel Picassos: Digital art with Photoshop & Canva
- IT FUNdamentals: Hardware, software & networking basics
- Scholars in Scrubs: Intro to nursing, surgical tech & healthcare
- Nailed It! Construction trades & hands-on builds
- Biz, Bricks & Badges: Entrepreneurship, law & public safety
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s in education or relevant field
- Experience engaging middle-school students
- Industry certification related to a lab theme
- Availability for full program dates & times
- Teaching/training experience preferred
