Baton Rouge Community College will provide academic and workforce training to the local community at the new Inspiration Center located at 5511 Winbourne Ave., Baton Rouge, LA 70805.

BRCC will offer adult education courses, workforce training, industry-based credentials
and for-credit academic classes at the center to meet students where they are. These
offerings provide additional academic pathways for students to earn an associate degree
or a technical certification that will lead to a high-wage, high-demand career.
“BRCC is proud to partner with the Inspiration Center to offer workforce training, industry-based credentialing, adult education and for-credit academic classes, all on-site at the center,” BRCC Chancellor Willie E. Smith Sr. said. “We are meeting our students where they are, so they can take classes right in their own neighborhood. This removes barriers and expands access to education, and leads to high-wage, high-demand careers for our students. It also helps the Inspiration Center make an even bigger impact in our community.”

The Inspiration Center, funded by the Louisiana Law Enforcement and Criminal Justice
Foundation (LECJF), features classroom spaces, an indoor gymnasium, a cutting-edge
recording studio and a video gaming room.
The center is open to community members who sign up for services with any of the partner
organizations like BRCC, the Boys and Girls Club of Metro Louisiana, Aetna Better
Health of Louisiana, DentaQuest and the East Baton Rouge Library.
The Inspiration Center mirrors national models that offer critical services and guidance in disinvested communities. Offering services that address community needs, these models have proven to decrease violent crime, expand opportunity and cultivate trust between law enforcement and the community.
