HOPE Ministries and BRCC Launch New Career Training Partnership at Free "Picnic with a Purpose" Event June 26 

Adults are invited to a hot dog lunch to learn about free classes, career paths, and ways to boost job skills

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – June 18, 2025

 HOPE Ministries and Baton Rouge Community College (BRCC) are partnering to host “Picnic with a Purpose,” a free community event celebrating the launch of a new collaboration between BRCC and The Way to Work program.

The event will take place on Thursday, June 26, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 4643 Winbourne Avenue on the HOPE Ministries campus.

“Picnic with a Purpose” will offer free hot dogs and refreshments while community members learn about new class offerings, certifications, and career pathway opportunities now available through this exciting partnership. Attendees will also get a first look at upcoming workshops designed to boost job skills and open doors to higher-paying employment.

The event is free and open to all adults aged 18 and older.
