Nursing and Allied Health Pinning Ceremonies
Baton Rouge Community College will hold three separate pinning ceremonies for its fall graduates of the Nursing and Allied Health Division on Friday, December 13. Each ceremony will honor graduates from the Allied Health, Practical Nursing, and Registered Nursing programs.
The pinning ceremony for Allied Health graduates will begin at 10 a.m., followed by the Practical Nursing graduates at 12 p.m., and concluding with the Registered Nursing graduates at 2 p.m.. All ceremonies will take place at BRCC’s Mid City campus in the Magnolia Theatre, 201 Community College Drive.
This pinning ceremony is a time-honored tradition for healthcare professionals. Often more personally meaningful than the graduation ceremony, it signifies the official initiation into the nursing and allied health professions. The ceremony commemorates the completion of their coursework and clinicals at BRCC. Students graduating from the division will earn degrees in nursing, sonography, surgical technology, practical nursing, and veterinary technology.
The ceremony is open to students, their family members, faculty, and staff.
