The Plumbing Apprenticeship Program at BRCC is the First of Its Kind in the Capital Region

Baton Rouge Community College is proud to announce the start of the Plumbing Apprenticeship Program in partnership with the Plumbing-Heating-Cooling Contractors Association of Louisiana with enrollment open now for the Spring 2026 semester.

The BRCC Plumbing Apprenticeship Program is the first of its kind in the Capital Region, highlighting BRCC’s commitment to providing excellent value to our students, business and industry partners and the community.

Students will attend class and training on BRCC’s campus January-July then begin an apprenticeship with a certified plumber through the Plumbing-Heating-Cooling Contractors Association of Louisiana.

BRCC’s Plumbing Apprenticeship Program will lead to a high-wage, high-demand career as a plumber where the average pay in Louisiana is $26.75/hour.

The total cost to enroll in the BRCC Plumbing Apprenticeship Program from beginning to end is $1,500.

Spots are still available for the program launch in Spring 2026. Anyone interested can contact BRCC Dean of Technical Education Heather Guidry by email at guidryh@mybrcc.edu.
