The Closet: Dressing Students for Success
At Baton Rouge Community College (BRCC), we are committed to removing barriers that might hinder our students' success as they transition from college to career. One such barrier is access to professional attire, which is often essential for making a positive impression during job interviews and other professional settings.
The Closet is a new, exciting resource at BRCC designed to provide students with business and business-casual clothing at no cost. By offering this service, we ensure that every student has the opportunity to dress confidently and appropriately as they step into the workforce, fully prepared to succeed.
Why The Closet Matters
Proper attire can make a significant difference in how students are perceived during interviews and in professional environments. Recognizing this, BRCC has stocked The Closet with a variety of professional clothing options, helping students to put their best foot forward as they embark on their career journeys.
"The launch of The Closet at BRCC is about removing barriers and opening doors of opportunity for our students. We are committed to equipping them with not only academic knowledge and skills but also the confidence to step into interviews and professional settings, fully prepared."
How You Can Support The Closet
Community support is vital to the continued success of The Closet. We invite individuals and organizations to contribute by donating new or gently used business and business-casual attire. Your donations will directly impact BRCC students by helping them feel confident and prepared as they enter the job market.
Donations can be dropped off at The Closet, located in the Bienvenue Student Center on the BRCC Mid City Campus, 201 Community College Dr., Baton Rouge, LA 70806. Donation hours are from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
