BRCC is strengthening its identity verification process to help protect you and your personal information. We’re introducing FaceLock, an identity verification tool that helps confirm student identities and adds another layer of protection for student information and records.

Whether you’re already a BRCC student or getting ready to apply, here’s what you need to know.

New and Returning Students

Beginning October 1, 2026, new applicants and returning students who are required to submit an application must successfully complete identity verification before moving forward with admission or registration.

Why Is BRCC Using Identity Verification?

Identity verification helps BRCC confirm that the person completing an enrollment process is the person they claim to be. This additional safeguard helps protect student information and reduces the risk of someone using another person’s identity to access BRCC enrollment processes.

Make Sure Your Contact Information Is Current

Take a minute to review the email address, phone number and other contact information BRCC has on file for you. Keeping this information current helps make sure you receive important College communications and identity verification instructions.

How to Check Your Information in LoLA

  1. Log in to LoLA using the link at the top of the BRCC website.
  2. Select Self Service Banner.
  3. Select Personal Information.
  4. Review your information and make sure it is current and accurate.

If BRCC asks you to complete FaceLock identity verification:

  1. Look for the FaceLock email from Baton Rouge Community College.
  2. Open your unique verification link.
  3. Follow the steps to verify your identity.
  4. Keep your verification link private—don’t share or forward it.
  5. Follow any additional instructions you receive after completing verification.
