In addition to Perkins Basic funds, BRCC receives Perkins Reserve funds to be used
for new and innovative CTE programs. The Reserve fund represents an opportunity for
the college to direct monies to rural areas with significant need, or areas that can
introduce real innovation in CTE.
BRCC targets Perkins Reserve funds at three college sites including New Roads, Jackson,
and Port Allen locations.
At the New Roads site, the following programs are supported:
- Medical Assistant
- Welding
At the Jackson site, the following programs are supported:
- Medical Assistant
- Electrical
- Millwright
- Pipefitting
- Welding
At the Port Allen site, the following programs are supported:
- Pharmacy Technician
- Instrumentation
- Pipefitting
- Welding
